Cooperation with U.K.

An Indo-British Seminar on ‘Reducing Environmental Impact of Vehicles in Urban Areas’ was held on 7th December 1999 at New Delhi when a Statement of Cooperation on Sustainable Transport between India and U.K. was jointly signed by By Baalu and Deputy Prime Minister of U.K. This initiative was aimed to further promote the continuing cooperation between the two countries in the areas of improved fuel efficiency, cleaner fuels, integrated transport issues and environmentally sound practices in the related areas.
